Join DKP

We welcome new singers of all voice parts. Kantorei rehearses on Tuesday evenings 7-9pm at the German embassy school on Liangmaqiao. Rehearsals are held in English and Chinese. DKP Conductor

Chen Nuo Chen Nuo, Master's degree in Composition, graduated from the China Conservatory of Music and studied under Professor Luo Zhongyong, a famous composer in China. Since joining the choir in college, She has more than 20 years of chorus experience, and she can sing chorus works in German, French, Italian and other languages. She won the Gold Award (First Prize) of the Folklore Group in the 2012 Frankfurt International Chorus Competition in Germany; in 2014, she went to Taiwan Province to participate in the Cross-Strait Choral Music Festival and won the Excellent Conductor Award. From 2012 to 2019, she served as the speaker of the DKP (Deutsche Kantorei Peking), which held more than 20 special concerts with the conductor Ms. Jin Chenghua. In 2021, she conducted the DKP to perform at the farewell ceremony for Dr. Clemens von Goetze, former German ambassador, and received high praise. She took over the direction of the DKP in 2022. DKP Intro

An international choir based in Beijing China The Deutsche Kantorei Peking (DKP) has been singing and performing Western classical choral music in Beijing since its foundation in 2010. The members of Deutsche Kantorei Peking are professional music teachers, students and music lovers from China, Germany, the UK, the United States, Canada, France, Belarus, Belgium, and other countries. Our choir is one of the few truly established multinational and multicultural art groups in Beijing. It provides a bridge of cultural exchange, excellent opportunities for Chinese and international people to do choral (especially German) music in Beijing. In addition to regular large choir performances, small groups of singers also get together to work on dedicated chamber projects.
